A Unit Citation was awarded to members of the B-Shift for the successful technical rescue of an individual trapped under a vehicle.  And, NW Hospital has recognized our ambulance crew for transporting an individual from door to the cath lab in less than 60 minutes.  Congratulations to our firefighters and medics on their stellar performance!

The Avra Valley family is so thankful and proud of the skillful work and selfless dedication of Firefighter Louie Rojas, assisted by Engine Boss David Collings, for the countless hours that went into making our Type 3 and Type 6 Wildland Trucks look FIRST CLASS.  Thank you for the great lengths you have gone to in giving back to your District.  Our newly refurbished wildland trucks will represent us proudly throughout our State and others as we deploy crews for wildland services.  And, thanks for overseeing the detailing, painting and striping on our ne Squad Truck!

Congratulations to Captain Mike Tharp, Firefighter/Engine Boss Dave Collings, Paramedic Karsten Lippert and Firefighter Chris George on 5 years of service to the District.  Thanks for your commitment.  We are so proud of you.  Way to go!

A Unit Citation was awarded to our firefighters who responded to a large scale motor vehicle accident in December 2018 on I10 involving 6 vehicles including 4 passenger cars, an RV, and a semi-trailer.  Eight patients were involved and the incident lasted over 7 hours.
