New Rating 2026:

I would like to thank all of you for your cooperation during our recent ISO Public Community Classification (PCC) Survey. ISO has completed its analysis of our structural fire suppression delivery system. ISO’s survey plays an important role in the underwriting process at insurance companies. Our ISO rating is a large determinant in the amount of property insurance premiums our residents have to pay. Through an arduous audit process it was determined that the ISO rating for the Avra Valley Fire District is 3, indicating solid, professional fire protection capabilities. This is an outstanding accomplishment, especially for a rural fire district.

This upgrade will impact every resident that lives within five miles of a fire station whether or not a hydrant is nearby. ISO looks at every aspect of a District’s operation. Most importantly, we were able to prove to ISO that we can maintain required fire flows for two hours anywhere within our District boundaries utilizing water shuttle operations and static water sources.
