ILLEGAL CONSUMER FIREWORKS
ALL AERIAL AND EXPLODING FIREWORKS ARE ILLEGAL IN ARIZONA.
These types of fireworks are subject to confiscation and/or citation.
ILLEGAL Examples: sky or bottle rockets, firecrackers and aerial fireworks.
FIREWORKS USAGE
Under Arizona law, firework usage is permitted on 27 days of the year, around specific holidays.
USE of legal consumer fireworks is allowed only on the following dates:
May 4 – May 6
June 24 – July 6
December 24 – January 3
SALE of legal consumer fireworks is allowed only on the following dates:
April 25 – May 6
May 20 – July 6
December 10 – January 3
LEGAL CONSUMER FIREWORKS
Permissible consumer fireworks may NOT be sold to persons under 16 years of age.
The sale and use of novelties known as snappers, party poppers, flow worms, toy smoke devices
and sparklers are permitted at all times.
