Take a look at what's happening in 2025

At our Board meeting on March 27, 2025, the District recognized several milestones.  Congratulations to Captain John Hemmings on receiving the prestigious Firefighter of the Year Award for 2024.  We are so proud of you!  And, congratulations to Captain Marc Albrecht and Battalion Chief Patrick Calhoun on reaching the 20-year milestone with Avra Valley Fire District.  What an accomplishment!  An Award of Merit was presented to Firefighter Hayden Seitz for his outstanding commitment to our wildland program. Way to go! We also welcomed three new suppression staff to the District:  Paramedic Erik Klingenberg, Firefighter Dean Ritter and Firefighter Evan Snider.  Welcome to the District!
